Wunderhorse frontman Jacob Slater announces solo album ‘Pinky, I Love You’
He has also shared the album’s lead single ‘Kissin’ Booth’.
Jacob Slater, the frontman of the band Wunderhorse, has announced details of his debut solo album. ‘Pinky, I Love You’ will be released on 4th August via Communion Records.
Alongside the news, Slater has shared the record’s first single, ‘Kissin’ Booth’. Watch the video, directed by Gabe Drechsler, below.
Wunderhorse only released their own debut album ‘Cub’ in October 2022, and the songs that make up ‘Pinky, I Love You’ were recorded at Rockfield and Hoxa Studios at the same time.
As Slater explains, “’Pinky, I Love You’ is a collection of songs that come from the same period as “Cub”. They didn’t make sense with a band so I recorded them on my own”.
In the past year, Wunderhorse have played shows supporting Pixies, Fontaines D.C., Sam Fender and Foals, and they are set to play their biggest headline show to date at London’s Kentish Town Forum on 1st November.
