Wye Oak Announce 2014 Tour Dates, New Album Due In 2014
Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack return to the stage in March 2014.

Baltimore’s Wye Oak - the project of Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack - are set to release a follow-up to 2011’s ‘Civilian’ next year.
The pair are also touring with Future Islands in early 2014, before heading over to Europe to play solo shows including a headline date at London’s Lexington. They’re also playing next year’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.
According to an interview with SPIN, Wasner’s ditching the guitar stylings of her previous record and taking to the bass, while Andy’s role on keys expands to encompass the notes that’d usually be played on guitar. ‘We had sort of hit a wall, just with the complete and total excess of touring that we had done, the use and overuse of that format,’ says Jenn. ‘It tainted the guitar for me and I was finding it really, really hard to get anything out of it from a writing perspective. I wasn’t excited about it — too much baggage. It just felt tired to me.’
