Yung find their ‘God’ with thrashing new track

Danish thrillseekers Yung have shared ‘God’, a new track from their forthcoming EP ‘These Thoughts Are Like Mandatory Chores’.

Up to now, the four-piece have been placed in the same bracket as fellow Scandi-punks Iceage and Lower. But ‘God’ puts them in different territory, bringing escapism to a blitz-speed stampede. “They always walk away / Oh God I wish they’d stay,” barks Mikkel Holm Silkjær in the opening seconds. After that, it’s all down to sky-reaching guitars and thrashing drums that threaten to break out of standard form. Their most relentless, fully-charged track to date, it’s streaming below.
