Lip Critic - Theft World

Lip Critic have developed an approach to rock music that feels fresh, vibrant and thrillingly weird. Across second album ‘Theft World’, the four-piece throw everything at the wall, with basically all of it sticking.

An album defined by its relentless momentum, the likes of ‘Shoplifting’ and ‘Leg Snare’ ride giddy rhythms, the kind that’ll whip crowds into a frenzied dancefloor mosh. Other highlights include opener ‘Two Lucks’, whose rapidfire double hit-hat drums and incessant synth melody border on weirdo anthem territory, and ‘Jackpot’, which is so fractured and cacophonous it echoes Death Grips.

Hyperactive electro-punk that effortlessly marries visceral fun with often experimental chaos, ‘Theft World’ sees its creators take some audacious swings and land an endless barrage of colourful, unique and exhilarating blows.
