Blur unveil new song, ‘Lonesome Street’
Hear the brilliant opening track from ‘The Magic Whip’.
The third track from Blur’s comeback album ‘The Magic Whip’ has appeared online.
‘Lonesome Street’ opens the album, and it’s available on iTunes and Spotify right now. Listen below.
This latest song links up with lead single ‘Go Out’ and ‘There Are Too Many Of Us’, which emerged at the end of last week. Blur’s latest effort pendulum swings between quick fix verses, oddball synth parts and Coxon’s customary guitar work.
Last Friday saw Blur previewing ‘The Magic Whip’ in full to a crowd of fanclub members at London’s MODE. During the gig, they also played ‘Trouble in the Message Centre - from 1994’s ‘Parklife’ - for the first time in twenty years.
Blur headline London’s Hyde Park on 20th June alongside Metronomy, Drenge and The Horrors.
