JAWS announce new album ‘The Ceiling’, share new single ‘Driving At Night’
The band will release their follow-up to 2016’s ‘Simplicity’ next April.
Birmingham trio JAWS have announced details of their third album ‘The Ceiling’, which is due for release early next year.
The band released their second full-length ‘Simplicity’ back in 2016, and will now follow it up on 9th April 2019. Their newest effort was again produced by Gethin Pearson, and is ten tracks in length.
Speaking of the record, frontman Connor Scofield has said: “Lyrically “The Ceiling” is generally about feeling a bit lost, I think as you grow up everything feels like its moving along a lot quicker; friends, relationships, life can all seem to move at 100 mph. Sometimes we forget that its OK to stand still for a bit sometimes and actually breathe. A lot of these songs are about dealing with that. Musically I think we’ve surprised even ourselves with it, we’ve gone down paths we haven’t taken before and ended up with something we’re really very excited about.”
The band have also offered up the first taste of it in the form of ‘Driving At Night’, and have confirmed plans for four live shows - also taking place next April - and tickets will go on sale this Friday (30th November).
