Watch The National share ‘Light Years’ video, detail ‘A Special Evening With’ shows

The band will play five special shows this month in support of new album ‘I Am Easy To Find’.
The National are releasing new album ‘I Am Easy To Find’ next month, and have just shared a second song from it.
‘Light Years’, which has been played live a bunch over the band’s recent tour dates, follows first preview ‘You Had Your Soul With You’ in leading up to the release of the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Sleep Well Beast’.
The track comes complete with a new video, formed of footage from a new short film of the same name as the album, and starring Alicia Vikander.
The National are set to preview ‘I Am Easy To Find’ at five intimate ‘A Special Evening With’ shows this month across Europe and North America. They’ve now announced full details of what the gigs will entail.
The shows, which include a London date at the Royal Festival Hall on 18th April, will feature a screening of the new film and Q&A with its director Mike Mills, before an intimate performance by the band, featuring guests such as Gail Ann Dorsey (Paris), Kate Stables of This Is The Kit, Mina Tindle, Yuki Numata Resnick, James McAlister, Brooklyn Youth Chorus (New York), and more to be announced.
They’ll then head out on a world tour of festivals and headline shows, including a huge US run with support from Courtney Barnett and Alvvays.
