Famly affair
The Flaming Lips and Miley Cyrus are reunited on ‘We A Famly’
It’s set to be the closer to their new album ‘Oczy Mlody’.
The Flaming Lips are set to release their new album ‘Oczy Mlody’ on 13th January, which is also Wayne Coyne’s birthday.
After previewing ‘The Castle’ last year, they’re giving another taste of what to expect in the shape of closing track ‘We A Famly’. And, after last working together in 2015, they’ve only gone and recruited Miley Cyrus for it.
It’s a heady psych-pop track with some pounding sub-bass, with Cyrus providing a verse and helping to sing the chant-along chorus.
Building on the track’s psychedelic nature, the accompanying lyric video is a simple burst of bright colours and a seemingly never-ending row of cracked eggs that pass underneath a few rainbows. Not sure how those relate to the overall theme of the song, but guess you’ve got to expect something just a little weird when it comes to the Lips.
