Well, Mura Masa just keeps on giving with these collaborations this week.
Yesterday he lifted the lid on ‘Second 2 None’, which features Christine and the Queens, and now he’s now he’s unveiled his latest team up with none other than Damon Albarn. ‘Blu’ is a laid-back, somewhat downbeat number that features warped vocals over a steady electronic pulse and shimmering flourishes of twinkling synths.
In recent months, Mura has also revealed his collaborations with Charli XCX on ‘1 Night’ and rapper Desiigner for ‘All Around The World’. His debut album is also set to feature Mura massive contributions from Jamie Lidell, Bonzai, A$AP Rocky, AK Paul and Tom Tripp.
Listen to ‘Blu’ below.
Mura Masa will play Lowlands (18th-20th August), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
