Outkast Set To Headline Bestival 2014

The reunited hip hop duo have already had a busy time of it in 2014, announcing handfuls of festival headline slots including the likes of Coachella and Governors Ball. Now, Outkast have announced their first appearance in the UK, and it’s set to happen at this year’s Bestival.

The two-piece - Andre 3000 and Big Boi - have already confirmed plans to play over forty worldwide slots this summer, and will now be appearing at the Isle of Wight event, as one of only two UK appearances.

Bestival 2014 takes place from 4th to 7th September and this year’s fest has been declared a ‘Desert Island Disco’, following last year’s theme of HMS Bestival.

Speaking of the huge announcement, booker Rob De Bank has said: ‘Hey ya! By the power invested in me as chief Bestival booker, I’m pretty darn excited to announce that OutKast are headlining Bestival this year! We’ve fought hard to get the recently reunited legendary hip-hop duo onto the ferry… and it’s no ordinary ferry this year as Bestival goes Desert Island Disco for 2014… Palm trees, grass skirts and mirrorballs are the order of the day. It truly is gonna be the Bestival yet!”
