In the magazine March 2026

Featuring Arlo Parks, Courtney Barnett, Kim Gordon, Fcukers and more.

While it might feel like barely any time has elapsed since Arlo Parks hit our radar, it’s now been six years since the then-19 year old first stunned us with her brand of evocative bedroom pop. And since then, she’s grown into an even more incredible artist. Now on the cusp of releasing third album ‘Ambiguous Desire’ - a mature record of awe and self-rediscovery - we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her back on our cover this month.

“I often have these moments where I’m trying to figure out where I belong or where I kind of get in my head,” Arlo muses in our cover feature, reflecting on her new LP’s club-leaning inclinations. “I feel like we all have moments where we’re dancing and, suddenly, your real life or the world around your kind of flicks, and you start to reflect on the world outside that room. You think about whether you’re moving through grief or confusion. It’s also just about coming of age. I think I’m at the age where I’m coming into myself and understanding my place in the world.”

Elsewhere, we talk growing older with Snail Mail’s Lindsey Jordan, get (just a little bit) existential courtesy of Kim Gordon, and reconnect with Courtney Barnett as she prepares to release her first full-length proper in five years. We also find stillness with Divorce’s Felix Mackenzie-Barrow as he launches his Book Of Churches solo project, travel between Hamburg and Hydra with The Orielles, and meet everyone’s fave party-starters Fcukers for our latest In Deep feature.

Over in this month’s Neu section - your go-to place for all the buzziest new music happenings - we get nostalgic with Swedish R&B gem waterbaby, meet Brighton upstarts SLAG, and find out more about former Fräulein frontwoman Joni Samuels’ new project, Jonique. Plus, The Xcerts give us an exclusive update on LP6, and we give you, dear readers, our *extensive* verdict on HS4, Fred again..’s triumphant Ally Pally residency, and much more.
