Alabama Shakes announce two new UK headline shows

Athens, Alabama band Alabama Shakes have scheduled two more UK headline shows for next summer, following the announcement that they’ll return to our shores next summer.

The group, who last performed live in the capital at BST Hyde Park back in 2016, had already confirmed details of a huge show at North London’s iconic Alexandra Palace on Friday 3rd July 2026, and now they’ve added another two outings to the visit. They’ll play Leeds’ Millennium Square and The Mount At Wasing (near Reading) on 1st and 2nd July, respectively. Pre-sale tickets for the shows are on sale, before they hit general sale from 10am GMT on Friday 5th December.

The UK shows will take place before the band make a handful of live appearances at some European festivals, including Gent Jazz, Lucca’s Summer Festival and NOS Alive in Lisbon. Check out their upcoming live plans below.

In the time that the band have been out of cycle, frontwoman Brittany Howard has embarked on a successful solo career, releasing two LPs (2019’s ‘Jaime’ and 2024’s ‘WHAT NOW’) and collaborating with the likes of Childish Gambino, Bon Iver, and Michael Kiwanuka.

The beloved trio recently offered up their first new music, too, in the form of comeback single ‘Another Life’, which was recorded down in Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios with longtime collaborator Shawn Everett.
