Angel Olsen shares Camp Saint Helene tracks from upcoming compilation project ‘Cosmic Waves Volume 1’
The release will consist of new songs from a handful of emerging artists, as well as Angel Olsen covers of other songs by said artists.

Angel Olsen has offered up two more previews from her forthcoming compilation project ‘Cosmic Waves Volume 1’ - a dual-part release made up of original songs from five new artists, and five covers of tracks by those artists performed by Olsen herself.
Due out on 6th December via somethingcosmic, the project will feature Camp Saint Helene, Poppy Jean Crawford, Coffin Prick, Sarah Grace White, and Maxim Ludwig - artists who, between them, represent an array of genres, eras, and inspirations.
Following the recent release of Poppy Jean Crawford’s ‘Glamourous’ and Olsen’s ‘The Takeover (Poppy Jean Crawford Cover)’, the two contributions from Camp Saint Helene have now been unveiled: ‘Wonder Now’, a delicate, folky exhale of a track; and ‘Farfisa Song (Camp Saint Helene Cover)’, which Olsen imbues with her signature haunting beauty.
Explaining more about the compilation project’s concept - which she imagines as a dialogue between artists - Olsen has said: “I personally always learn something new about the process when I’m engaging someone else’s words and melodies in such a close way. It’s fun to write and make my own stuff, but listening to and putting myself into various different styles of songs can lead to new ways of thinking and creating.”
