Anohni shares sparse new video for 'I Don't Love You Anymore'

Anohni released her Mercury-nominated album ‘HOPELESSNESS’ back in May, and now, track ‘I Don’t Love You Anymore’ has a similarly intense video to match.

Playing with a similar concept to the video for ‘Crisis’ - which focused on New York artist Storm Lever - a single shot stays honed on ANOHNI’s face for the entire duration, as she delivers each and every lyric; clearly growing more emotional as the song progresses.

Anohni - formerly of Antony and the Johnsons - recently spoke out against the faults with teaming up with global corporations on big budget videos, calling Apple “the McDonalds of consumer high tech”.

Referring to her own ‘Drone Bomb Me’ video - the Naomi Campbell-starring visual, which she made with the financial support of Apple - Anohni admitted she regretted the collaboration. “It was an experiment and a challenge for me,” she said. “The record companies can’t afford to advance the whole cost for making the record anymore, let alone pay for an ambitious video. So after a lot of hemming and hawing I agreed to work with Apple on the video.”

With this in mind, then, perhaps it makes sense that Anohni’s next video is a minimal, effective affair. Watch it below.
