Infinitely content Arcade Fire score Number One with ‘Everything Now’
The band’s new album outsold Ed Sheeran’s ‘÷’ by two to one.
Arcade Fire have made it a hat-trick of Number One albums, as latest full-length ‘Everything Now’ today hits the top spot in the Official Charts.
Outselling closest competitor, Ed Sheeran’s omnipresent ‘÷’ by two to one, it follows both ‘The Suburbs’ and ‘Reflektor’ at the top of the UK album charts.
Last week’s Number One, Lana Del Rey’s ‘Lust For Life’ falls to 4, Dua Lipa’s self-titled debut is up 26 places at Number Eleven, while Manchester Orchestra’s ‘A Black Mile To The Surface’ enters at #93.
‘Despacito’ is still Number One in the Singles Chart, while Charli XCX’s ‘Boys’ (with the amazing video) enters at #42, and Jessie Ware’s ‘Midnight’ at #89.
