Arctic Monkeys, Twin Shadow, More Perform Lou Reed Covers

Tributes are paid to the late musician’s influential work.

Following the death of Lou Reed last Sunday

(27th October), various musicians have performed their own renditions of the Velvet Underground frontman’s classics.

Arctic Monkeys performed a cover of Reed’s ‘Walk On The Wild Side’ during a show at Liverpool’s Echo Arena.

George Lewis Jr aka Twin Shadow meanwhile took to the studio to record a version of ‘Perfect Day’, from the 1972 album ‘Transformer’.

At Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit Concert, he was joined by My Morning Jacket, Elvis Costello and Jenny Lewis to perform ‘Oh! Sweet Nuthin”
