Bring Me The Horizon share new ‘Lo-files’ album
The Sheffield quartet have offered up a 23-track project, which features “lo-fi reinterpretations” of tracks from across their discography.
Never shy of an ambitious project, Sheffield metal quartet Bring Me The Horizon have returned with a brand new project titled ‘Lo-files’; a 23-track album that features a series of “lo-fi reinterpretations” of tracks taken from across their discography.
The band, who released their seventh album ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’ back in May last year, have followed it up with the hefty new project, in which they collaborate with the likes of Casiio, No Spirit, Lophiile and more to give tracks from their huge records (including 2013’s ‘Sempiternal’, 2015’s ‘That’s The Spirit’ and 2019’s ‘amo’) an entirely different lease of life.
“The original idea for our “go to” record was actually something more chill, a record you could put on while studying or zoning out,” the band’s Oli Sykes has said of the release. “It ended up way more chaotic than I originally intended. So I guess this is another attempt at creating something low key. I listen to a lot of lo-fi when I’m working or feeling anxious, so I hope this record can do the same for others.”
‘Lo-files’ is out now in full (after being release on Friday 11th July via RCA / Sony) and lands ahead of their upcoming turn headlining Reading and Leeds festivals on 23rd and 24th August, respectively. Stream ‘Lo-files’ on Spotify below.
