Broken Social Scene are releasing their first album in seven years on Friday (7th July), but the whole thing is streaming in advance.

‘Hug Of Thunder’ has been preceded by singles ‘Halfway Home’, its title track, ‘Skyline’ and ‘Stay Happy’, and is the follow-up to 2010’s ‘Forgiveness Rock Record’.

The band have a whole host of live dates coming up across the rest of the year, including shows with Frightened Rabbit and Arcade Fire.

We recently caught up with the band’s Brendan Canning for our New Tricks feature, talking about what to expect from ‘Hug Of Thunder’ and his own musical obsessions. Read that here and stream the new album via NPR here.
