National Parklife: Damon Albarn performs ‘Mr Tembo’ for Mr Tembo the elephant

The performance took place in Mkomazi, Tanzania.
In a pretty ridiculous story of the day, Damon Albarn has returned to Mkomazi national park in Tanzania to perform his song ‘Mr Tembo’ for the elephant it was named after when they first met years ago.
A clip of Albarn playing the song, which appeared on his debut solo album ‘Everyday Robots’, has appeared online, and it’s not the first time the Blur frontman has gone slightly meta. Last year, in keeping with his album’s title, he played a gig in Japan in front of two robots.
Continuing an extremely packed 2015, Albarn has revealed that Gorillaz will begin recording their new album - the follow-up to ‘Plastic Beach’ - next month.
