Damon Albarn, St. Vincent, Kelis To Play SXSW 2014
Austin, Texas fest also plays host to Woman’s Hour, Chromeo, Speedy Ortiz and Perfect Pussy.
After an initial round up of smaller acts trying to make a bright first impression, SXSW has turned its attention to confirming the big guns. Damon Albarn will play the Austin, Texas event, alongside St. Vincent and Kelis.
This trio of acts will perform at NPR’s showcase at Stubb’s (12th March), which’ll be streamed live on NPR.
Further new additions arrive in the form of Woman’s Hour, Perfect Pussy and Speedy Ortiz. Production duo Chromeo are also confirmed, with Against Me! and SZA also on the bill.
They join the likes of previously confirmed acts Warpaint, Wolf Alice and Eagulls.
SXSW takes place on 11th-16th March 2014. The bill spans over 1000 acts - see it in full here.
