Deerhoof unveil ‘Criminals of the Dream’ video

The track features on forthcoming album, ‘The Magic’.

As announced back in April, San Francisco weirdos Deerhoof are returning next month with thirteenth album ‘The Magic’. The follow-up to 2014’s ‘La Isla Bonita’, the record will be released on 24th June via Upset The Rhythm.

Two tracks from the album have already been shared - ‘Plastic Thrills’ and ‘Debut’ were unveiled alongside the record’s existence itself - and now a third follows, thanks to a video for ‘Criminals of the Dream’.

Writing on Facebook, the band’s Greg Saunier elaborates: “We’re big fans of his Trevor Shimizu’s art (I always have the best time at his gallery openings) and we’re thrilled he and Josh Brand made this video for us. This premiere of ‘Criminals of the Dream’ also happens to fall between John’s birthday (May 16th) and mine (May 18th) so it feels like an awesome gift from a friend.”

Deerhoof tour the US this summer, as part of what we’re told is an “extensive” tour (that so far doesn’t include Europe).
