DIIV announce new album, ‘Is The Is Are’
Follow-up to 2012’s ‘Oshin’ is out on Captured Tracks in late 2015.
DIIV have announced that their second album, ’Is the Is Are’, will be released in late 2015 via Captured Tracks. The band posted the update on their Twitter and Tumblr accounts this evening (Thursday 23rd April), with the message:
“Hear is their.
Story, we is you.
Is the is are.
Our 2nd LP will be called “Is the Is Are”. Out this fall on @CapturedTracks”
“It’s about the stuff I’ve experienced in the last three years,” frontman Zachary Cole Smith explains in the May issue of DIY, out tomorrow (Friday 24th April), “big stuff, stuff that a lot of people go through in their lives, existential stuff.”
The group’s follow-up to 2012’s ‘Oshin’ will be preceded by series of tour dates, including a performance at London’s Field Day (6th - 7th June), for which DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now.
Other bands playing the event include headliners Ride and Caribou, as well as Patti Smith, FKA twigs, Mac DeMarco, Django Django, Rae Morris, Hookworms, Shura, Savages and more.
