Watch Dirty Projectors burst forth with ‘Little Bubble’
The second brand new track in the space of a few months whiffs of a new album, doesn’t it?
Dirty Projectors officially mean business - after posting yet another sneaky teaser video yesterday morning, and sharing out-of-the-blue track ‘Keep Your Name’ last year, they’ve followed it up with a second taste.
According to a press release, the video for ‘Little Bubble’ “explores the metaphor of Earth itself as a fragile bubble of life in a cold, dead universe” (cheery stuff!) and takes visual cues from the band’s 2012 short film Hi Custodian. The video’s directed by Longstreth and hus longtime collaborator Adam Newport-Berra.
Two new tracks in the space of a few months, both with matching videos, and a cohesive new musical direction certainly sounds a little bit like ‘new album,’ doesn’t it?
Watch the video for ‘Little Bubble’ below.
