Dutch Uncles announce new single ‘Upsilon’
Manchester group are streaming b-side ‘Realm’ now
Dutch Uncles have announced a new single, ‘Upsilon’, taken from their recent album ‘O Shudder’. The new release will be backed by new track ‘Realm’, with a release set for 19th May via Memphis Industries.
New track ‘Realm’ sees the group take a grandiose approach to their sound, adding a luxurious string arrangement to an energetic polyrhythmic track. Totally at odds with the lushness that the strings, a sinister bass-line menaces in parts, with frontman Duncan Wallis sounding anxious in his vocal delivery.
Dutch Uncles begin a headline tour of the UK this week, including a date at Manchester’s Ritz co-presented by DIY and Manchester promoters Now Wave. Head here to our DIY Presents page for more details. Dutch Uncles will play the following:
