Earl Sweatshirt shares new track ‘Quest/Power’
Odd Future man teams up with Budgie and Samiyam.
Earl Sweatshirt shared a new track over the weekend, titled ‘Quest/Power’. The new song was uploaded to an anonymous Soundcloud, with Budgie and Samiyam credited as producers. ‘Quest/Power’ follows his recently shared tracks ’45’ and ‘Knucklehead’.
On ‘Quest/Power’, Earl lays down a crystal cut vocal on a jazz-influenced backbeat, rapping about his time at boarding school. The tempo changes midway through, with Earl aggressively applying his lyrics to a backing sample that repeats the word “fire”.
Earl Sweatshirt’s follow up to ‘Doris’ is expected to be released this year, though there is no confirmation of any of the recent tracks being featured on the untiled LP. Listen to ‘Quest/Power’ below.
