FIDLAR air raucous ‘West Coast’ video
Clip brings together footage from the last five years.
FIDLAR are magnets for stage invasions, crowdsurfing and reckless boozing, and that’s been the case since day one. A new video for ‘West Coast’ brings together footage from the last five years’ worth of shows, spanning across beloved Stateside venues.
The clip accompanies the latest take to be lifted from FIDLAR’s second album. Speaking to Annie Mac on Radio 1 last night about the video, they said: “The West Coast video was filmed on the East Coast… filmed at a collection of shows. Some of it is old footage, some of it is new footage. My brother-in-law and my sister really documented the whole growth of the band. And with this video, we kinda want to show that growth, from playing completely DIY house parties to playing Reading and Leeds.”
Ryan Baxley directs, and now fans are being asked to send their own footage of seeing FIDLAR live. Submissions have to go via the #FIDLARTOO hashtag, on Tumblr, Twitter or Instagram, by 31st July. The end result will be aired on 7th August.
New album ‘Too’ is released on 4th September via Wichita Recordings.
