FIDLAR share new video for ‘Flake’
The band’s new clip lands ahead of their return to the UK later this summer.
FIDLAR have shared their new video for ‘Flake’ in the run up to their forthcoming UK and European shows later this summer.
The clip, which accompanies the track taken from their recent album ‘Almost Free’, sees each of the song’s lyrics translated by sign language interpreters.
Speaking of the inspiration for the video, the band’s Elvis Kuehn has said: “‘Flake’ is a song about having friends in Los Angeles. The video idea came from a conversation I had with my girlfriend about sign language interpreters at music festivals and how it can be funny when they have to sign songs with explicit language. That brought me to the idea of piecing together a music video with clips of sign language interpreters signing every lyric of the song, mixed in with some clips of our favourite bad acting reels. We spent an afternoon getting all the clips together and our bass player, Brandon Schwartzel, edited them together.”
The band’s upcoming tour dates are as follows.
