Florence And The Machine & Arctic Monkeys Win Big At NME Awards

Florence and the Machine, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and The Horrors were all big winners at last night’s (29th February) NME Awards.
Florence picked up awards for both Best Solo Artist and Best Track - for ‘Shake It Out’ - whilst The Horrors were given the ‘Best Album’ gong for ‘Skying, and Arctic Monkeys received the ‘Best Live Act’ award.

Best New Band: The Vaccines
Best Video: Hurts ‘Sunday’
Best Festival: Glastonbury
Best Dancefloor Anthem: Katy B ‘Broken Record’
Philip Hall Radar Award: Azealia Banks
Teenage Cancer Trust Outstanding Contribution To Music: Pulp
Best Reissue: The Smiths
Godlike Genius: Noel Gallagher
