Formation plays Maida Vale session for Huw Stephens
The Ritson twins talk early days and perform three tracks for a special show
Formation dropped into Huw Stephens’ BBC Radio 1 show last night (6th July), performing their latest single ‘Hangin’ for a Maida Vale session.
During the 22 minute conversation, the Ritson twins discussed their early days, musical improvisation and introduced the rest of their live group to Huw and the wider world. Formation also went into detail about their debut “mysterious” white label vinyl, which they dropped into record shops around Soho last summer. As well as performing ‘Hangin’, Formation also played ‘Back Then’ and ‘Life Goes On’.
Formation will play Latitude (16th -19th July), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
