Formation stream ‘All The Rest Is Noise’ track from debut ‘White Label’ EP
London revivalists are carefully crafting their own space - check out their latest cut.
White label fanatics Formation lay their influences down on a record player. The South London twin duo aren’t shy about meddling with DFA staples, or indeed the very fabrics of an LCD Soundsystem triumph. ‘All The Rest Is Noise’ isn’t hiding that; not in design or delivery.
This latest song to emerge from their ‘White Label’ EP (out now in record shops), might be the most obvious link in the chain. It’s very ‘Dance Yrself Clean’, but by its conclusion, it’s dropping funk truths and spilling its guts like the New York disco scene never happened.
It links up with ‘Waves’ and ‘Friend’ (plus a Geoupe De Rock reformation of this latest track), and it’s available to stream in full on the Formation site.
Listen to ‘All The Rest Is Noise’ below.
