Georgia shares new sober anthem ‘Be Free’
The bouncy, electropop number is dedicated to all those out there but don’t drink or do drugs, but still know how to have a good time.

It’s inching ever closer to silly season and Georgia is here to remind us that having a good time doesn’t always have to end in a hangover, with her squelchy new electro banger, ‘Be Free’.
Landing after three years of her own sobriety, the track was her frequent collaborator Mark Ralph (Years & Years, Daniel Avery, Hot Chip), and is a bouncy delight centred around the refrain, ‘Let your mind be free / Without alcohol’. “At the time of writing this tune, I wanted there to be an anthem for people who went out and didn’t drink or do drugs but still could be on the same wavelength as everyone else,” Georgia has said, of the song. “The bassline was very much inspired by Hudson Mohawke / Rustie-era electronic music; I grew up on those beatmakers.”
‘Be Free’ is her third single to be released in the past five months, following on from September’s ‘Get Over It’ and July’s ‘Wanna Play’; they continue on from her 2024 single ‘Too Much Too Little’, and her 2023 LP, ‘Euphoric’.
Her latest offering also comes accompanied by a fever-dream of a new video - directed by Spike Silverton - which sees Georgia hanging out with a giant pint - because of course. Check it out below.
