Giorgio Moroder is working with Lady Gaga on her new album

Giorgio Moroder has revealed that he’s been working alongside Lady Gaga on her new album.

Speaking to Popjustice in a new interview, the disco legend said he was supposed to be in the studio with Gaga a week ago, but he “got a cold” (cut the guy some slack, he’s in his seventies.)

He divulged that he’d been working on “about five or six tracks”, ready to showcase to Gaga. “I’ll see her when I’m back. I have about five or six tracks, just basic ideas. Drums, keyboard, bass. I’m going to be surprised, I think – I don’t have a clue about the way she’s recording. Will she play the piano? Will I?”

Set to pitch new ideas later this month, he said: “I was hoping that maybe I can convince her to have one of the songs for my album. If I could convince her, well that would be incredible.”

Moroder’s new solo album ’74 is the New 24’ is due out this spring. Earlier this month he showcased new track ‘ Right Here, Right Now’, featuring Kylie Minogue.

Britney Spears, Charli XCX, Mikky Ekko and Foxes are also dubbed to appear on the LP.
