Green Day To Re-Issue Previous Eight Studio Albums

There’s been lots and lots of talk of the forthcoming trio of albums from Green Day, but not content with three new albums, they’ve decided to rerelease all of their old ones too.

As an exclusive to Best Buy in the US - we’re not sure about a UK/ European release just yet - the band will re-issue their previous eight albums.

Each CD will come in a paper sleeve, donning the original artwork, and all eight records will be house in a clamshell box. Titled ‘The Studio Albums 1990-2009’, it will become available on the 4th September.

Can’t remember which albums Green Day released? Forgot that ‘Dookie’ came after ‘Kerplunk’? The full list of their albums is below.

In terms of their future releases though, the full trio of records - titled ‘¡UNO! ¡DOS! ¡TRE!’ are set to be released on 25th September, 13th November and 15th January of next year. Recorded in the band’s hometown of Oakland, California, long time collaborator Rob Cavallo will produce.

The tracklisting for the first album ‘¡Uno!’ has ask recently been revealed, and is as follows.

2. Stay The Night

Green Day have also revealed that they plan to release two documentary films alongside their three new albums; one of which will be made by Tim Lynch - the man behind ‘Green Day: Bullet in a Bible’, whilst the other has been taken on by Tim Wheeler (‘The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights’). The first looks set to have documented the making of their latest project, whilst the second takes a look at the band’s pre-‘Dookie’ era.
