Jamie xx, Tune-Yards, Swans to play Big Ears Festival 2015

An initial batch of acts has been announced for 2015’s Big Ears Festival, which takes place in Knoxville, Tennessee, 27th-29th March.

Curating one half of the festival is the Kronos Quartet, who’ll be artists in residence for 2015. They’ve invited The National’s Bryce Dessner, 2014 Polaris Prize winner Tanya Tagaq, Wilco’s Nels Cline and Laurie Anderson to play with them onstage.

Elsewhere, Jamie xx, Tune-Yards and Swans will perform at the festival. Also confirmed: Perfume Genius, Amen Dunes, Ben Frost, Clark, Grouper, the Bad Plus, Bill Frisell, Sam Amidon, Caroline Chocolate Drops’ Rhiannon Giddens, Terry & Gyan Riley, Harold Budd and Keith Lowe, Holly Herndon, A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Nosaj Thing and more.
