Kanye West let a rapper freestyle to him this weekend
Cameron Grey impresses Kanye after Big Sean’s LA concert.
Footage of a rapper performing a freestyle to Kanye West has gone viral this weekend. Los Angeles based artist Cameron Grey waited for Kanye West to leave Big Sean’s show at the city’s House of Blues, with West allowing Grey to provide some more entertainment outside in a parking lot.
The footage provided by TMZ.com shows Grey successfully grabbing Kanye’s attention, despite security initially rebuffing him.
Grey shouts “I’ll rap for you right now, Kanye”, before West steps out of his car to give him his chance. Kanye asks him to rap in front of the camera, encouraging him to relax after Grey appears starstruck, telling him to “spit more bars”. Before West leaves, he briefly asks if Grey would be interested in working his way up in the industry, asking if he would like to start “as an assistant”. Grey walks away screaming with delight as West leaves in his limousine, with contact details exchanged between the two. Grey later tweeted: “You gotta show up for the miracle to happen.”, later tweeting his recognition and support with thanks to the #YEEZYBOOST.
