Kanye West Reportedly Shooting Film In Middle East

So then, Kanye West is filming a short movie in the Middle East. Supposedly.

I mean, if true, none of us will be particularly surprised. Kanye’s ventures have out-stretched music since forever. First fashion, then he recently moved to London on a whim, and do remember that the man does have a expressed love for short films - if you recall his ‘Runaway’ motion picture in the run up to ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’.

The New York Observer were the ones to first report that Kanye is planning a short film shot in the Middle East.

They initially wrote:

‘Sources tell The Observer that Mr. West sent members of his team to meet with film companies and government officials based out of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Doha, Qatar to explore the idea of a production. A number of local municipal officials and film companies are said to be engaged in what was characterized as a heated bidding war for the contracts involved in bringing Mr. West’s vision to life.’

‘Mr. West’s creative team is moving to the region for a few weeks, as part of an effort to create an ‘authentic’ depiction of the culture.’
