In the latest edition of Australian radio station Triple J’s Like A Version series, Låpsley’s taken on Foals’ fire-starting ‘Mountain At My Gates’ single.
She’s a fan, as it turns out (well, duh) - “I remember going to Leeds Festival when I was fifteen… and crying when they played ‘Spanish Sahara’,” she unashamedly tells Triple J’s presenters, to a chorus of “awwwww”s.
It’s a fitting tribute to a tearjerking group, then, with Lappers’ mountainous vocal enveloping the track’s tale of impeding doom. Watch her version below.
