Listen: Azealia Banks Contributes To Lana Del Rey Remix
We’re still waiting on her ‘1991’ EP though…
Azealia Banks has been featured on a brand new remix of Lana Del Rey’s ‘Blue Jeans’.
The mix, which was conducted by DJ Group Smims & Belle - also known as Mark Foster and Isom Innis - includes the ‘212’ singer as she contributes an additional verse.
The brand new remix comes shortly after Ms Del Rey has released another new visual feast for us, with her latest offering ‘Carmen’.
The ‘bio pic’, the clip splices footage of old black and white-esque scenes with footage of the starlet just being all glamourous.
‘Carmen’ is taken from Del Rey’s debut album ‘Born To Die’, which reached the Number 1 spot in January when it was released. The album sold 50,000 copies in the UK on the day of release alone.
Lana Del Rey recently scored a Number 1 album with her debut ‘Born To Die’ and will be making several UK festival appearances this summer, including slots at the Isle of Wight and Hackney Weekend festivals.
Azealia Banks was due to release her ‘1991’ EP this week, but, as she posted on Monday night, it’s not quite ready to be released: she’s changed management, and plans to ‘vamp up’ the recording.
With her debut full-length ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ in the works, the EP was expected to feature tracks including ‘Grand Prix’ and ‘1991’.
Azealia is now signed to Lady Gaga’s manager Troy Carter and is expected to release her debut LP via Interscope in September.
Azealia has a UK tour planned for later this year, calling at:
