Listen: East India Youth Remixes Wild Beasts’ ‘Simple Beautiful Truth’
William Doyle’s given a grand, all-enveloping take to a track from Wild Beasts’ ‘Present Tense’.
William Doyle aka East India Youth has been handed the joyous duty of remixing Wild Beasts’ ‘Simple Beautiful Truth’, arguably the standout track on the Domino-signed band’s fourth album ‘Present Tense’.
DIY handed out five-stars to Wild Beasts’ latest, pin-pointing ‘Simple Beautiful Truth’ as a standout. ‘It’s pristine 80s nodding pop of the highest order - it’s unlikely [vocalist Hayden Thorpe] will ever sound sharper.’
East India Youth’s own solo debut ‘Total Strife Forever’ picked up four stars, meanwhile, and Doyle arrives at this year’s Great Escape Festival in Brighton (May 8th-10th) as one of the most hotly-anticipated acts.
