Cover lovers: Listen to Katie Crutchfield and Kevin Morby cover The Velvet Underground

They’ve delivered a lo-fi version of ‘After Hours’.
Katie Crutchfield and Kevin Morby have both been quite busy this year, having both released ace new albums. Katie’s given us ‘Out In The Storm’ while Kevin delivered ‘City Music’. They’ve also toured with each other earlier in the year.
Now the pair have teamed up to gift us with a cover of The Velvet Underground’s ‘After Hours’, after often tackling ‘Everclear’ on the road. For it, Katie takes the place of Moe Tucker, while Kevin pipes in occasionally to lend his tones to the lo-fi jam. It’s a very sweet duet, made more so by its sheer simplicity in execution.
A little earlier in the year, we caught up with Katie to talk about ‘Out In The Storm’. Revisit the interview here.
