Listen: Of Montreal Share ‘Belle Glade Missionaries’ Track
New ‘lousy with sylvianbriar’ song is half country, half like nothing oM have done before.
Kevin Barnes and co’s of Montreal are set to release their new ‘lousy with sylvianbriar’ album via Polyvinyl on 7th October. So far, we’ve heard some surprising 60s-leaning turns, nodding towards more folk-led ideas, all tied together by Barnes’ characteristic vocals.
‘Belle Glade Missionaries’ doesn’t let up on the non-sensical song titles. Giving nods to country, with woozy ‘ooohs’ backing Barnes’ near endless vocal take, it’s a curious preview of the new record.
