Portishead’s Geoff Barrow has been working on new material under a new guise, with a first taster appearing online.
The hip hop record, recorded under the moniker Quakers, is set to feature 41 tracks with a release date of March 27th. Initial sample ‘Fitta Happier’ features Guilty Simple, M.E.D. and, as the name suggests, a burst of Radiohead. Not the track you might expect though - instead it’s a marching band version of ‘The National Anthem’.
