Portishead’s Beth Gibbons announces new solo album
The record, out in March via Domino, is a collaboration with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra
Portishead vocalist Beth Gibbons has announced details of a fancy new solo album.
‘Henryk Górecki: Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs)’ is a collaboration between the Bristol-based musician and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Krzysztof Penderecki.
It will come out on 29th March via Domino as both an audio and film recording of a performance at The National Opera Grand Theatre in Warsaw on 29th November 2014.
The show was part of an evening of programming that also featured pieces by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and Bryce Dessner of The National.
