Listen: Wild Beasts Unveil Previously Unheard Track, ‘Stray’

Wild Beasts have unveiled a previously unheard track, going by the name of ‘Stray’.

Having been recorded during the band’s ‘Smother’ sessions, the song was revealed by the band on Christmas Day, but, thanks to a mound of turkey and an inevitable food coma, we must admit, it went a little unnoticed.

Now though, we can all give it the attention it is much deserving of. Originally written and recorded alongside the tracks which made up the band’s third album, the song was released as a thank you to all of the fans who watched the band perform their latest full-length in full as part of this year’s ATP Festival.

The band unveiled the track alongside the following message:

‘Thank you to all of you who came down & supported us at our recent run of shows where we played ‘Smother’ in full. We know that many of you couldn’t make it, either because we didn’t play close to your hometown (sorry!), or because of the limited ticket availability.

So as an end of year treat we’d like to share this unreleased track from the Smother album sessions called ‘Stray’.

Thank you for all your support the past year & here’s to a fantastic 2013 for all of us!’
