Listen: Zola Jesus Streams New ‘Fall Back’ Track

Nika Roza Danilova has previewed her forthcoming Zola Jesus release, ‘Versions’, with the new ‘Fall Back’ track.

‘Versions’, you might remember, is a new collaboration album with JG Thirlwell, placing Danilova’s original tracks in a completely new environment.

Nika speaks at length about the release in the latest DIY Weekly (available on iTunes). Sacred Bones release the album on 19th August.

‘Fall Back’ is a frantic, flurried cut, screeching strings colliding into a brave crescendo. Locking it all together is a bright-eyed emotional pulse, lines like ‘I am not afraid to let go’ giving the track a sweet intimacy.
