London duo Formation get slicker on new track ‘Back Then’
Taken from a new EP, the South Londoners look back on a golden age.
Nostalgia’s not the vital ingredient to Formation’s flexing, percussive take on pop, but it’s something that plays a big part. None less than on ‘Back Then’, a gorgeous new take from their forthcoming ‘Young Ones’ EP.
“I just wanna be, back then,” runs the chanted chorus, all elements of the past being washed out with future-gazing synths. In a flash, this stands out as the South London duo’s boldest step yet, a long way on from their sold out white label from 2014.
The ‘Young Ones’ EP is available to pre-order on iTunes and vinyl.
