Manic Street Preachers share an acoustic version of ‘Distant Colours’
It’s a new version of the single from ‘Resistance Is Futile’.
With their thirteenth album ‘Resistance Is Futile’ due in April, Manic Street Preachers shared their latest single ‘Distant Colours’ a few weeks ago.
Speaking of the track, which reflects on his disenchantment with the left-leaning politics of his youth, James Dean Bradfield said: “Musically, the verse is downcast and melancholic and the chorus is an explosion of disillusionment and tears”.
Now they’ve shared an acoustic version of the track, which strips it down to guitar and James’ explosive vocals, putting his lyrics squarely at the forefront.
The Manics are also off on tour in support of the release, heading to arenas across the UK in April and May. It kicks off in Newcastle and rounds off at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena (naturally). Tickets are on sale now. They’re also set to play at this year’s Meltdown, which is curated by Robert Smith.
