Supermarket sweep
Martha go shopping for love in their new ‘Precarious (Supermarket Song)’ video
The new clip features a bowler hat determined to escape its owner.
County Durham pop punks Martha released their new album ‘Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart’ in July, and retail romance track ‘Precarious (Supermarket Song)’ is still vying for the title of lyric of the year for the line “I’m like an unexpected item in your bagging area.”
Hot on the heels of their video for ‘Ice Cream And Sunscreen,’ there’s now a super fun new clip for the track.
Rather than be totally obvious with the title and recreate an episode of ‘Supermarket Sweep,’ directors Ben Epstein and David Combs have kept much of the action away of the food aisles. Instead it’s out of the deli and into the frying pan, as our protagonist has a bit of a nightmare trying to track down her runaway hat.
It’s all in the name of love though. Aww.
Have a watch below. Brownie points for spotting the reference to ‘The Untouchables!’
