‘Mclusky’ Announce London Show

The sort-of reunited band will play in support of ill-fated London venue the Buffalo Bar.

‘Mclusky’ Announce London Show

Mclusky broke up in 2005 but staged a reunion, of sorts, earlier this year to raise funds to save Le Pub in Cardiff.

Future Of The Left/Ex-Million Dead’s Julia Ruzicka and Damien Sayall from The St. Pierre Snake Invasion will join original Mclusky members, Andrew Falkous and Jack Egglestone for a one-off show at The Buffalo Bar in London this December.

The ‘Mclusky’ set will kill two birds with one stone. Firstly to raise funds for the impending unemployment of the Buffalo Bar’s staff and as a thank you to the bar’s manager, who’s “been a huge supporter over the years.”

The Buffalo Bar announced it will be shutting down on December 31st 2014 after being served a notice from their new landlords. There’s currently a petition online asking for them to save the venue and has received support from the likes of The Horrors and The National, who dedicated ‘Mistaken For Strangers’ to the Buffalo Bar during their show at the O2 earlier this week.

Mclusky recorded three studio albums before breaking up in 2005. Falkous and Egglestone went on to form Future Of The Left.

‘Mclusky’ will play The Buffalo Bar on December 12th, with support from USA Nails. Tickets for the gig are (unsurprisingly) already sold out. Watch ‘To Hell With Good Intentions’ from the band’s 2002 album, ‘Mclusky Do Dallas’ below.
