Miley Cyrus surprise-releases ‘Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz’

Post-hosting this year’s MTV VMAs, Miley Cyrus has surprise-released her new album, ‘Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz’.

Spanning twenty-three tracks, the album was recorded alongside The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne, with Coyne’s bandmates also involved in various tracks. Dave Fridman and Mike WiLL Made-It have production credits on the fifth studio album, which follows on from ‘Bangerz’. Ariel Pink guests on ‘Tiger Dreams’, while Big Sean and Phantogram’s Sarah Barthel also appear.

According to the New York Times, Miley’s label RCA Records hadn’t heard the album until it was finished.
